1
Stand upright with feet shoulder-width apart, holding a barbell across the shoulders with hands positioned slightly wider than shoulder-width. Maintain neutral spine with chest up and core engaged.
2
Position the barbell firmly on the upper traps and rear shoulders. Keep elbows slightly forward and pointing downward. Ensure feet are flat with weight distributed evenly across entire foot.
3
Lower the body by simultaneously bending hips and knees, descending in a controlled manner until thighs reach parallel to the ground or lower. Maintain neutral spine throughout descent, knees tracking over toes without caving inward.
4
Drive through entire foot, extending hips and knees powerfully to return to standing position. Continue upward until achieving full hip and knee extension while maintaining upright posture.
