1
Sit on an adjustable decline bench with feet secured under the foot pads. Position body supine with torso at an incline angle. Keep hands behind head with fingers lightly touching temples, elbows out to sides.
2
Engage core muscles and maintain neutral neck position. Ensure lower back maintains contact with bench pad throughout movement. Feet remain anchored securely.
3
Slowly lower torso backward toward the bench in a controlled manner, extending the spine and allowing abdominal muscles to lengthen. Maintain tension and do not fully relax at bottom position.
4
Contract abdominal muscles and pull torso upward toward thighs using core strength, lifting shoulders off bench. Exhale during the lift and return to starting position with control, stopping just before full sit-up position.
