1
Stand on the treadmill with feet hip-width apart, positioned on the belt with hands lightly gripping the side or front rails for balance. Maintain upright posture with shoulders back and core engaged.
2
Begin at a comfortable walking or light jogging pace. Set the treadmill speed and incline to your desired intensity level. Engage your core and prepare to maintain steady breathing throughout the movement.
3
As one leg extends backward, allow the knee to flex slightly as the foot leaves the belt surface. The leg lengthens as it travels behind you, with the quadriceps eccentrically loaded as the opposite leg prepares to drive forward.
4
Drive the leg forward and upward by contracting the quadriceps, knee extensors, and hip flexors. Push off with the treadmill belt, propelling your body forward while maintaining consistent stride length and rhythm. Return to neutral standing position as the cycle repeats with alternating legs.
