1
Stand upright with feet hip-width apart, arms at sides or hands on hips, chest up, and core engaged. Maintain neutral spine alignment throughout the movement.
2
Begin in standing position with weight evenly distributed across both feet. Prepare by taking a controlled breath and engaging the core muscles for stability.
3
Step forward with one leg, lowering the hips by bending both knees. The front knee descends toward the ground while the back knee lowers toward the floor. Both knees should reach approximately 90-degree angles at the bottom position.
4
Drive through the front heel to extend both legs, pushing back to the starting standing position. Alternate legs with each repetition or complete all reps on one side before switching.
