1
Stand upright with feet hip-width apart, arms at sides or extended for balance. Maintain an upright torso and neutral spine throughout the movement.
2
Engage your core and prepare by shifting your weight to one leg. The non-working leg will drive the movement while the supporting leg remains stable.
3
Lower your body by bending the standing leg's knee and hip while keeping the torso upright. The non-standing leg drives upward toward chest height. Control the eccentric phase for 2-3 seconds as the supporting knee bends.
4
Drive through the heel of the supporting leg to extend the knee and hip, bringing the body back to standing position. Simultaneously drive the opposite knee up toward the chest explosively. Return to start position and repeat on alternating legs.
