1
Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, knees slightly bent, holding a medicine ball or weight plate at chest level with both hands. Maintain neutral spine and engage core.
2
Position the ball/plate close to the chest with elbows bent at approximately 90 degrees. Ensure shoulders are relaxed and retracted slightly.
3
Slowly bring the medicine ball back toward the chest by flexing the elbows and retracting the shoulder blades. Control the eccentric movement over 2-3 seconds, feeling the stretch across the chest.
4
Explosively extend the arms forward and press the medicine ball away from the body at chest height, fully extending the elbows. Squeeze the chest at the peak of the movement and return to starting position with control.
