1
Hang from pull-up rings or bar with arms fully extended, body in a straight line from head to toe, shoulders engaged and depressed, core pre-tensioned.
2
Establish a firm grip on the rings with hands pronated or neutral, engage shoulder stabilizers, maintain neutral spine and engaged core throughout preparation.
3
Lower the body by extending the hip and knee joints while allowing slight posterior pelvic tilt, returning legs to extended hanging position in a controlled manner with 2-3 second lowering phase.
4
Contract the rectus abdominis to flex the trunk and raise the knees toward the chest, hip flexion driving the movement, pressing through shoulders to assist concentric contraction until knees reach chest level or higher.
