1
Stand facing a pull-up bar with feet hip-width apart. Grip the bar with both hands at shoulder-width or slightly wider, with palms facing away. Jump or step up to hang with arms fully extended.
2
Engage your core and prepare to perform a squat motion while suspended. Maintain a neutral spine and keep your chest upright throughout the movement.
3
Lower your body by bending your knees, allowing your legs to move into a squat position beneath you. Control the descent by keeping tension in the quadriceps and core. Lower until your thighs are parallel to the ground or slightly below.
4
Drive through your heels and extend your knees and hips simultaneously to return to the starting position with legs fully extended. Maintain grip on the bar throughout the entire concentric movement.
