Step-up

Instructions

1
Stand upright on a bench or step platform with feet hip-width apart, maintaining neutral spine and engaged core. Position body weight evenly across both feet.
2
Ensure proper posture with shoulders back and chest up. Keep hands at sides or lightly touching the bench for balance if needed. Prepare to step off the platform.
3
Slowly step forward off the bench with one leg, lowering the body by bending the knee of the standing leg. Descend in a controlled manner until the stepping leg lightly touches the ground or reaches near-parallel depth, allowing the front knee to bend naturally.
4
Drive through the heel of the standing leg to return to the starting position on the bench. Extend the knee and hip to push the body back up to the platform. Repeat for desired reps before switching legs.
