1
Stand facing the cable machine with feet hip-width apart, core engaged, and neutral spine alignment. Position yourself at a distance where the cable is taut.
2
Secure the cable attachment around one ankle. Keep your hands on the machine frame or in front of you for balance. Maintain an upright posture with slight forward lean from the hips.
3
Slowly bring the working leg forward and down in a controlled manner, allowing the cable to lengthen. Keep the standing leg slightly bent to prevent knee hyperextension. Maintain core stability throughout.
4
Drive the heel backward and upward against the cable resistance, extending the hip to full extension while maintaining neutral spine. Squeeze the glute at peak contraction. Return to the starting position with control and repeat.
