1
Stand upright with feet hip-width apart, core engaged, and arms at sides or hands on hips for balance. Position one foot on a foam roller placed on the ground for stability.
2
Ensure proper posture with neutral spine, shoulders relaxed, and chest lifted. The foam roller serves as a stable platform. Distribute weight evenly between both feet initially.
3
Shift weight onto the standing leg while bending that knee, lowering the body in a controlled lunge position. The rear leg extends backward with the foot light on the ground or foam roller, allowing the front knee to track over the ankle.
4
Drive through the front heel and extend the front leg, pushing the body back to the starting position. Maintain control throughout and return to neutral stance before repeating on the same side or alternating legs.
