1
Sit on the machine seat with your back firmly against the backrest and hips fully supported. Place your feet under the lever arm with legs at approximately 90 degrees. Grip the handles on either side of the seat for stability.
2
Ensure your knees are aligned with the machine's pivot point. Position feet shoulder-width apart on the footplate. Maintain an upright torso throughout the movement. Engage your core for spinal stability.
3
Slowly lower the weight by allowing your knees to bend in a controlled manner. Lower until your knees reach approximately 90 degrees of flexion, keeping the movement smooth and deliberate. Do not allow the knees to cave inward.
4
Drive through your heels and mid-foot to extend your legs, pressing the lever arm forward and upward. Return to the starting position with knees at approximately 90 degrees, stopping just short of full knee extension to maintain tension on the quadriceps.
