Smith Biceps Curl

Instructions

1
Stand centered within the power rack with feet shoulder-width apart, knees slightly bent, and core engaged. Position the barbell at waist height across the front of your body.
2
Grip the barbell with hands shoulder-width apart using an underhand (supinated) grip. Keep your elbows tucked close to your torso and shoulders relaxed.
3
Lower the barbell in a controlled manner by extending the elbows, allowing the weight to descend toward the starting position while maintaining a slight bend in the knees and keeping elbows stationary at your sides.
4
Curl the barbell upward by flexing the elbows, driving the movement through the biceps. Raise the bar to approximately chest height or until forearms are nearly vertical. Squeeze the biceps at the top and return to the starting position with control.
