Sit upright on the machine bench with back firmly against the backrest, feet flat on the floor or footrest. Position shoulders at machine height with arms at 90-degree angles, elbows aligned with shoulders.

Grip the handles with a neutral grip at chest level. Ensure core is engaged and spine maintains contact with the backrest throughout the entire movement.

Slowly allow the handles to move backward in a controlled manner by opening the chest, feeling a mild stretch across the pectoralis major. Keep elbows at shoulder height and resist the weight as it returns.

Drive the handles forward by contracting the chest muscles, bringing handles together in front of the body. Squeeze the pectoralis major at the end position without fully locking elbows. Return to starting position with control.
