1
Sit on the leg press machine with your back and head firmly against the padded support. Place your feet on the platform approximately shoulder-width apart, with toes pointing slightly outward. Your knees should be at approximately 90 degrees in the starting position.
2
Grip the handles on either side of the machine for stability. Ensure your lower back remains in contact with the backrest throughout the movement. Engage your core and maintain neutral spine alignment.
3
Slowly lower the platform by bending your knees, allowing them to descend toward your chest in a controlled manner. Lower until your knees reach approximately 90 degrees or slightly less, ensuring they do not extend past your toes. Maintain constant tension and avoid letting the weight stack touch down.
4
Drive through your heels and midfoot to extend your knees, pushing the platform away from your body to return to the starting position. Extend your legs fully but stop just short of locking out your knees at the top. Maintain control throughout the pushing phase.
