1
Sit on the leg press machine with your back and head resting firmly against the padded support. Place feet on the platform shoulder-width apart, with toes pointing slightly outward. Feet should be positioned in the middle of the platform.
2
Grip the handles on either side of the machine for stability. Ensure your knees are aligned with your toes and your lower back maintains contact with the seat throughout the movement.
3
Lower the weight by bending your knees, allowing them to travel forward over your toes while keeping your back against the pad. Descend until your knees reach approximately 90 degrees of flexion or slightly deeper, without letting knees cave inward.
4
Push through your mid-foot and heels to extend your legs and drive the platform away from your body, returning to the starting position. Do not lock out your knees at full extension; maintain a slight bend at the top of the movement.
