1
Sit on the floor with legs crossed in a comfortable seated position. Keep your torso upright and shoulders relaxed. Engage your core muscles before beginning movement.
2
Place your hands behind your head with fingers lightly touching the back of your head, or cross arms across chest. Keep neck neutral and avoid pulling on the head. Engage core by drawing navel toward spine.
3
Slowly lean backward, extending the torso and tilting the pelvis posterior. Lower the spine segment by segment, allowing the abdominal muscles to lengthen. Control the descent with core tension to prevent falling backward.
4
Contract the abdominal muscles to lift and rotate the torso forward and upward. Drive through the core to return to starting seated position. Exhale during the lifting phase and maintain constant tension throughout the movement.
