1
Sit upright on a sturdy box or platform with feet flat on the floor, knees bent at approximately 90 degrees, and hands placed on the box beside hips for light support. Maintain neutral spine alignment with shoulders back and chest open.
2
Engage core and ensure feet are positioned directly under knees. Distribute weight evenly through both feet. Keep upper body stable with minimal forward lean.
3
Lower the body by bending the knees deeper, moving into a controlled descent as the thighs lower below parallel to the floor. Maintain an upright torso position and control the movement throughout the descent phase without dropping abruptly.
4
Drive through the heels and engage the quadriceps to explosively extend the knees, returning to the starting seated position. Complete the movement with control and return to the initial upright sitting posture with neutral knee angle.
