1
Sit upright on a sturdy chair with back support, feet flat on floor, core engaged, and neutral spine alignment. Position yourself near the chair edge for proper leg extension clearance.
2
Maintain an upright torso posture with hands positioned behind head or across chest for balance. Keep one foot planted on the ground for stability while preparing the working leg.
3
Slowly lower the extended leg in a controlled manner, allowing the knee to flex gradually while maintaining tension in the quadriceps. Lower until the foot approaches the floor or reaches a comfortable range of motion.
4
Drive the leg upward by extending the knee, contracting the quadriceps to lift the foot back to starting position. Return to full knee extension at the top of the movement with a controlled tempo.
