1
Begin in a side plank position with your right elbow on the ground, body in a straight line from head to feet, and your left hand behind your head or across your chest. Keep your core engaged and hips elevated off the ground.
2
Prepare by ensuring your right forearm is perpendicular to your body for stability. Engage your core muscles and maintain neutral spine alignment. Position your left leg extended or stacked on top of your right leg for balance.
3
Slowly lower your hips toward the ground in a controlled manner, allowing your obliques and core to lengthen. Maintain a straight body line and avoid rotating your torso. Lower only as far as you can control while keeping your core engaged.
4
Drive through your right forearm and engage your core muscles to lift your hips back up to the starting position. Squeeze your abdominal and oblique muscles at the top of the movement. Return to the neutral side plank position with controlled movement.
