1
Start in a side plank position with your right forearm on the ground, elbow directly under shoulder, body in a straight line, and left arm across your torso or behind your head. Legs are extended with feet stacked or the bottom foot forward for stability.
2
Engage your core and ensure your hips are lifted and aligned with shoulders and feet. Keep your neck neutral and gaze forward. The non-supporting leg is ready to lift.
3
Lower the non-supporting leg (left leg in starting position) by slowly dropping the hip downward in a controlled manner, allowing the knee to bend slightly as the leg descends toward the ground.
4
Press through the supporting forearm and engage the quadriceps to lift the leg back to hip height, straightening the knee as you raise it to return to the starting side plank position. Squeeze the front thigh at the top.
