1
Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, arms at sides or bent at 90 degrees for balance. Maintain neutral spine alignment with shoulders back and chest up.
2
Engage core muscles and prepare for explosive movement. Keep weight distributed evenly across both feet with slight bend in knees to prepare for jumping action.
3
Lower body by bending knees and hips simultaneously, descending into a quarter or half squat position. Arms may swing back to assist with momentum. Keep chest upright and weight in heels.
4
Explosively extend hips and knees, propelling body upward into a jump. Drive through legs powerfully while swinging arms forward and upward for momentum. Land softly on forefoot, rolling back through heel to absorb impact and return to standing position.
