1
Stand with feet hip-width apart, chest upright, and core engaged. Position yourself barefoot or in athletic footwear with a neutral spine.
2
From standing position, place hands behind head with elbows pointing outward. This upper body position is maintained throughout the exercise.
3
Lower your body by bending at the hips and knees simultaneously, stepping one leg forward into a lunge position. The rear leg lowers toward the ground while the front knee bends to approximately 90 degrees.
4
Drive through the front heel to return to standing by extending the front leg's knee and hip. Alternate legs and step forward with the opposite leg to complete the next repetition in a walking motion.
