1
Sit on a stability ball with feet flat on floor, hip-width apart. Position ball under lower back and glutes. Maintain neutral spine alignment with chest lifted.
2
Place hands behind head with fingers supporting (not pulling) the neck. Elbows positioned to the sides. Engage core and establish stable base with feet.
3
Slowly lower torso backward by extending through the spine, allowing the ball to support lower back. Inhale as you extend, creating a controlled eccentric contraction of abdominals. Stop at comfortable range without overextending.
4
Exhale and powerfully contract abdominals to lift torso back to starting seated position. Crunch upward using core strength, returning to neutral upright posture on the ball.
