1
Stand facing the pull-up bar station with feet shoulder-width apart, positioned directly under the overhead bar attachment. Maintain an upright posture with core engaged and neutral spine alignment.
2
Grasp the horizontal bar with both hands using a wide grip (wider than shoulder width), palms facing forward or in neutral position. Ensure hands are firmly gripped and ready to pull. Keep arms fully extended overhead.
3
In a controlled manner, allow the body to descend by extending the arms and letting gravity gently lower you back to the starting position with arms fully extended. Maintain core stability throughout the lowering phase and avoid excessive forward lean.
4
Drive through the lats and pull the body upward by depressing and retracting the scapulae, bringing the chest toward the bar. Lead with the chest and elbows, pulling elbows down and back toward the hips. Achieve full contraction at the top before beginning the descent.
