Russian Twist with medicine ball

Instructions

1
Sit on the floor with knees bent and feet flat. Hold a medicine ball with both hands at chest level. Recline back slightly so your torso is at approximately 45-60 degrees from the floor with a neutral spine.
2
Grip the medicine ball firmly with both hands positioned on either side. Keep your feet grounded and core engaged. Your elbows should be slightly bent and positioned near your ribcage.
3
Slowly rotate your torso to one side, bringing the medicine ball toward the floor beside your hip in a controlled eccentric movement. Keep your lower body stable and allow the obliques to lengthen as you rotate. Hold briefly at the end range.
4
Initiate rotation by contracting your core and obliques. Rotate your torso back to center, then continue rotating to the opposite side, bringing the medicine ball across your body. Return to center with control. This completes one repetition.
