1
Stand upright with feet hip-width apart, arms at sides or in running position. Maintain neutral spine and engage core. Head facing forward.
2
Begin with feet positioned shoulder-width apart. Prepare to drive knees upward explosively. Keep shoulders relaxed and arms ready to drive forward and backward in running motion.
3
Lower the body by bending at hips and knees, allowing one leg to drive forward while the opposite leg extends behind. The quadriceps lengthens as the knee flexes during the landing phase of each stride.
4
Drive explosively upward by extending the hips and knees, propelling the body forward and upward. Drive knees high toward chest while maintaining running form. Return to starting position with controlled landing, alternating legs in continuous running motion.
