1
Lie prone (face down) on the ground with a foam roller positioned perpendicular under the chest. Extend the right arm forward at approximately 45 degrees from the body. Keep the left arm at your side for support. Maintain a neutral spine with core engaged.
2
Position the foam roller directly under the chest. Ensure the body is in a straight line from head to heels. The supporting arm (left) should be ready to assist with weight distribution and control throughout the movement.
3
Slowly roll the foam roller across the latissimus dorsi and surrounding musculature from the ribcage toward the lower torso. Apply gentle to moderate pressure as the roller traverses the lateral back muscles. Maintain contact with the ground and controlled breathing.
4
Continue rolling in a controlled manner back toward the starting position. Return to the initial setup position with the foam roller under the chest and extended arm forward. Perform the movement in a smooth, deliberate manner without bouncing.
