1
Sit on a foam roller or elevated surface with back supported against a wall or bench. Position the foam roller perpendicular under one thigh, with the other leg extended or foot on ground for support. Keep torso upright and engaged.
2
Place hands behind for light support. Position the foam roller under the quadriceps muscle group of the working leg. Engage core and maintain neutral spine alignment before beginning movement.
3
Slowly extend the working leg by straightening the knee joint, pressing through the heel to lengthen the quadriceps muscle. Control the movement as the leg extends fully, creating tension in the thigh.
4
Contract the quadriceps at full extension, then slowly lower by bending the knee to return to starting position. Complete the repetition by bringing the knee back toward the chest in a controlled manner. Repeat for prescribed reps before switching legs.
