1
Sit on the foam roller positioned perpendicular under the mid-thigh, with hands placed behind for support on the ground. Keep your torso upright and core engaged with one leg extended on the roller.
2
Place both hands firmly on the ground behind your body for stability. Position the foam roller under one thigh while keeping the other leg bent with foot on the floor for support and balance.
3
Slowly extend the leg resting on the foam roller by straightening the knee joint, allowing the quadriceps to lengthen under the roller. Move smoothly and controlled, avoiding jerky movements.
4
Actively contract the quadriceps to return the leg to the slightly bent starting position. The quadriceps muscle shortens as the knee flexes, completing one repetition of the movement.
