1
Lie prone on a flat bench with your torso supported on the bench and legs extended horizontally. Position your body so the bench supports your hips and lower abdomen, allowing free leg movement below the bench.
2
Grasp the sides of the bench firmly with your hands for stability. Keep your head in neutral alignment with your spine. Engage your core to maintain a stable upper body position throughout the exercise.
3
Slowly lower both legs downward in a controlled manner by bending at the knees, allowing gravity to assist the movement. Keep the motion smooth and avoid swinging. Lower until legs are nearly perpendicular to the bench or to a comfortable range of motion.
4
Press through your quadriceps to lift both legs back up to the starting horizontal position. Extend your knees fully at the top, contracting the quadriceps maximally. Return with control and repeat for the prescribed number of repetitions.
