1
Lie prone (face down) on a flat bench with your torso supported on the bench and your legs extended off the edge. Position your hips at or just beyond the bench edge to allow full range of motion for knee extension.
2
Keep your body stable and aligned with the bench. Place hands on the bench for stability if needed. Engage your core to maintain a neutral spine throughout the movement.
3
Slowly lower your lower legs downward in a controlled manner by allowing your knees to bend. The movement should be smooth and controlled, feeling a stretch in the quadriceps at the bottom position. Inhale during this lowering phase.
4
Drive through the quadriceps to straighten your legs, extending your knees fully or nearly fully while maintaining control. Return to the starting position with legs extended. Exhale as you perform the extension phase.
