1
Sit on a flat bench with feet flat on the floor, knees bent at approximately 90 degrees, torso upright, and hands placed behind or to the sides of the body for stability.
2
Position the resistance band around both thighs just above the knees. Ensure the band is secure and provides moderate tension in the starting position.
3
Slowly lower the body by bending deeper at the hips and knees, allowing the thighs to move closer together against the band resistance. Control the movement and maintain an upright torso throughout the eccentric phase.
4
Press through the heels and extend the hips and knees to return to the starting seated position. Drive the knees apart against the band resistance to maximally contract the quadriceps and return to upright seated position.
