1
Lie flat on your back on a mat with your head resting comfortably. Keep your lower back neutral against the floor. Extend your left leg straight along the mat. Plant your right foot firmly on the floor with knee bent at approximately 90 degrees.
2
Place your hands flat on the mat beside your torso for stability and support. Ensure your core is engaged and your pelvis remains stable and neutral throughout the movement.
3
Slowly lower your right leg by extending the knee, allowing your right foot to move toward the floor in a controlled, lengthening motion. Move through a full range of motion without locking the knee at full extension.
4
Drive through your right heel and contract your quadriceps to return to the starting position with the knee bent at 90 degrees. Squeeze your quad at the top of the movement before lowering again in a controlled manner.
