1
Stand with feet hip-width apart, maintain upright posture with shoulders back and core engaged. Keep chest up and weight distributed evenly through both feet.
2
Place hands in front of chest or crossed over chest for balance. Engage core and prepare to lower body by initiating movement at the hips and knees simultaneously.
3
Lower body by bending at hips and knees, pushing hips backward as if sitting into a chair. Descend until thighs reach approximately parallel to ground or slightly below, keeping chest up and knees tracking over toes.
4
Drive through heels to extend hips and knees, returning to standing position. Maintain neutral spine throughout and control the upward movement without locking out knees at the top.
