1
Lie on your side in a plank position with your forearm on the ground, elbow directly under your shoulder, body in a straight line from head to feet, and legs extended. Keep your core engaged and maintain neutral spine alignment.
2
Position your bottom leg straight and stacked with your top leg. Engage your glutes and prepare to lift the top leg while maintaining the side plank position without rotating the torso.
3
Lower the top leg back down in a controlled manner to the starting position where it meets the bottom leg, maintaining the side plank and not allowing the hips to rotate or drop forward.
4
Lift the top leg upward and backward in a controlled arc, squeezing the glutes at the top of the movement. The leg should move through hip abduction and extension while keeping the torso stable and plank position intact.
