Sit upright on a chair with back against the backrest, feet flat on the floor, and knees bent at approximately 90 degrees
2
Place hands on thighs or hold chair seat for stability. Keep torso upright and core engaged throughout the movement
3
Slowly lower heels toward the floor by pointing toes downward, allowing the calves to lengthen under control. Feel the stretch in the calf muscles
4
Push through the balls of the feet to raise heels as high as possible, contracting the gastrocnemius and soleus muscles. Return heels to starting position with control
