1
Stand upright with feet hip-width apart, arms relaxed at sides or extended forward for balance. Engage core and maintain neutral spine alignment.
2
Shift weight onto the ball of the left foot while keeping the heel elevated. Prepare right leg to drive upward by engaging hip flexors and quadriceps.
3
Lower the right leg back down in a controlled manner, allowing the knee to extend as the leg returns toward the ground. Maintain balance on the left leg throughout the descent.
4
Drive the right knee upward explosively, lifting thigh to approximately hip height or higher. Push through the ball of the left foot to propel the body upward. Return to starting position and alternate legs.
