1
Stand facing the pull-up bar with feet hip-width apart, hands gripping the bar at shoulder width, arms extended. Position body upright with neutral spine and core engaged.
2
Establish a firm grip on the bar with palms facing forward or neutral. Ensure feet are flat on the ground with weight distributed evenly. Brace core and maintain upright posture throughout the movement.
3
Lower heels toward the ground by dorsiflexing the ankles, allowing the calf muscles to lengthen under control. The descent should be slow and controlled, stretching the calves fully while maintaining stability through the bar grip.
4
Push through the balls of the feet and plantarflex the ankles to raise the heels up toward the bar. Drive through the calves to lift body weight upward, returning to the starting position with heels elevated. Squeeze calf muscles at the top of the movement.
