1
Begin lying supine on your back with head and shoulders slightly elevated off the ground, positioned upside down or at an inverted angle. Keep your legs extended upward toward the ceiling with a slight knee bend.
2
Engage your core by drawing your navel toward your spine. Position arms extended to sides for balance. Maintain neutral neck position with eyes toward ceiling throughout the movement.
3
Lower your legs slowly by extending through the hip flexors, bringing your feet closer to the ground in a controlled eccentric movement while maintaining slight knee bend. Feel the stretch and lengthening in the abdominal muscles.
4
Drive through the abdominal muscles to lift and raise your legs back to the starting position by flexing at the hip and engaging the lower abs. Return to full starting position with legs pointing upward.
