Sit on the machine with back firmly against the backrest, shoulders relaxed. Position feet on the footplate with legs at approximately 90 degrees. Grip the handles on either side for stability.

Adjust the machine so the footplate aligns with your mid-foot. Keep your torso upright against the backrest and ensure your knees are tracking over your toes.

Lower your body by bending at the knees and hips, allowing the footplate to descend. Control the descent by maintaining constant tension. Lower until knees reach approximately 80-90 degrees of flexion or the point where lower back begins to round.

Drive through your mid-foot and heels to extend the knees and hips, pushing the platform away. Return to starting position by straightening legs while maintaining contact with the backrest. Complete the repetition at the top without locking knees.
