1
Stand upright on the sled machine platform with feet shoulder-width apart. Position body perpendicular to the direction of movement with hands gripping the handles at chest height. Maintain neutral spine alignment with core engaged.
2
Establish a firm stance on the sled platform with both feet planted securely. Grip the handles with a firm palmar grip, arms extended in front of the chest. Ensure shoulders are retracted slightly to pre-tension the lats before initiating movement.
3
Push the sled forward along the track by driving through the legs and torso, extending the arms as the body moves. Allow the arms to straighten while maintaining control throughout the eccentric lengthening phase. Keep the torso upright and core stable.
4
Drive the sled backward by powerfully pulling the handles toward the body, simultaneously driving the legs backward to propel the sled. Retract the scapula and pull elbows back and down, creating a strong lat contraction. Return to the starting position with control.
