1
Sit on the machine with your back firmly against the backrest and upper back supported. Position feet on the footplate with knees bent at approximately 90 degrees. Keep hands gripping the handles on either side of the seat for stability.
2
Adjust the seat height so the pivot point aligns with your knee joint. Place both feet flat on the footplate about hip-width apart. Ensure your lower back remains in contact with the backrest throughout the movement.
3
Slowly bend your knees by allowing them to move forward in a controlled manner, lowering the footplate toward your torso. The movement should be smooth and controlled, taking approximately 2-3 seconds to complete the descent without bouncing at the bottom position.
4
Extend your legs forcefully by pushing through your heels and midfoot, driving the footplate away from you until your knees reach near full extension. Return to the starting position in a controlled manner and repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
