1
Sit on the leg press machine with back and head resting firmly against the padded support. Position feet on the platform shoulder-width apart with toes pointing slightly outward. Maintain neutral spine alignment throughout the exercise.
2
Place both feet flat on the platform with heels approximately 12 inches from the platform edge. Grip the handles on either side of the seat for stability. Ensure core is engaged and lower back remains in contact with the backrest.
3
Slowly lower the platform by bending knees, allowing them to track over toes without caving inward. Lower until knees reach approximately 90 degrees of flexion, ensuring knees do not extend past toes. Maintain control throughout the lowering phase.
4
Drive through heels and mid-foot to extend knees and push platform away from body. Return to starting position with slight knee bend (do not lock knees at top). Maintain constant tension on quadriceps throughout the movement.
