1
Sit or stand facing the Smith machine or leverage press equipment with feet planted firmly on the ground, shoulders back and chest up, maintaining neutral spine alignment against the backrest or support.
2
Grip the handles with palms facing forward (supinated grip), hands shoulder-width apart. Ensure elbows are positioned at approximately 90 degrees and close to the torso. Stabilize your core and set your shoulders.
3
Lower the handles in a controlled manner by extending the elbows, allowing the forearms to straighten while keeping the upper arms stationary. The movement should be smooth and take approximately 2-3 seconds, resisting gravity throughout.
4
Press the handles upward by flexing the biceps and contracting the elbow flexors, returning to the starting position with elbows bent. Exhale during this pressing movement, achieving full contraction at the top before beginning the next repetition.
