1
Sit upright on the machine seat with back straight and feet flat on the footplate or floor. Grasp the overhead handle with both hands using a wide grip, arms fully extended overhead.
2
Maintain an upright torso position with slight chest elevation. Engage core muscles and ensure shoulders are relaxed away from ears before initiating the pull.
3
Slowly lower the handle by allowing the arms to extend upward in a controlled manner, resisting the weight stack throughout the movement. Maintain upright posture and avoid leaning back.
4
Pull the handle downward toward the upper chest by driving elbows down and back, retracting the shoulder blades. Squeeze the latissimus dorsi at the bottom position, then return to starting position with controlled resistance.
