1
Sit on the machine with your back against the backrest and feet secured on the footrest. Grip the handles on either side of your head with hands positioned near temples. Keep your torso upright and core engaged with a neutral spine.
2
Position your body so the machine's pivot point aligns with your natural waist bend. Ensure feet are firmly planted and secured. Maintain a slight forward lean of the head and neutral neck position. Take a deep breath to prepare.
3
Exhale and slowly lower your torso backward by extending through the abdominal region. Allow the machine to guide a controlled eccentric contraction as your core lengthens. Move through a comfortable range of motion without hyperextending the lower back. Maintain tension throughout the descent.
4
Inhale and powerfully contract your abdominal muscles to crunch your torso forward against the resistance. Return to the starting position in a controlled manner. Squeeze the abdominals at the top of the movement. Repeat for prescribed repetitions without relaxing between reps.
