1
Sit on the leg extension machine with your back and upper body firmly against the backrest. Position your knees at approximately 90 degrees with feet flat. Adjust the machine so the pivot point aligns with your knee joint.
2
Place your feet under the padded lever bar, positioning it just above your ankle joint. Grasp the side handles of the machine for stability. Ensure your core is engaged and back remains neutral against the support pad.
3
Slowly lower the weight by allowing your knees to bend in a controlled manner, returning the foot pad toward the starting position. Maintain tension throughout the movement without letting the weight stack touch down. Control the descent for 2-3 seconds.
4
Drive through your quadriceps to extend your knees, pushing the lever forward and upward until your legs are nearly straight but not locked. Squeeze the quadriceps at the top of the movement for 1 second, then return to the starting position with control.
