1
Sit on the ab machine with back firmly against the padded backrest. Grasp the handle bars with both hands at chest level, keeping elbows slightly bent and arms close to torso. Feet should be positioned on the foot rest with legs at approximately 90 degrees.
2
Adjust seat height so the pivot point aligns with your abdominal area. Ensure your lower back maintains contact with the backrest throughout. Take a deep breath and prepare to flex forward.
3
Slowly extend the handles forward by straightening your arms while simultaneously extending your torso backward against the resistance, allowing the abdominal muscles to lengthen under controlled tension.
4
Powerfully contract your abdominal muscles and pull the handles back toward your chest while flexing your torso forward in a crunching motion. Return to the starting position with controlled resistance, maintaining tension throughout the movement.
