1
Sit upright on the machine with your back firmly against the backrest. Position your feet flat on the floor or footrest. Grasp the handles at chest height with a neutral grip, elbows bent at approximately 90 degrees, aligned with shoulders.
2
Ensure your shoulders are relaxed and depressed away from ears. Maintain neutral spine alignment with core engaged. Take a deep breath to prepare for the movement.
3
Slowly allow the handles to return toward your body by relaxing the pressing muscles. Control the movement as the arms flex and the chest stretches under tension. Maintain contact with the backrest throughout.
4
Press the handles forward and together in a controlled arc, extending the arms without locking the elbows at full extension. Squeeze the chest muscles at peak contraction. Return to starting position with control and repeat.
